Get the doddery old barn owl back in the room and interrogate him properly. Track him down, the clueless cunt.

Re: Roy Hodgson to face the media?
I hesitate to say this...but maybe we needed John Terry in the team instead of Cahill...and as team captain...

At least he cares... is vocal...and would raise the performance level of the team...

Re: Roy Hodgson to face the media?
I'm saving my abuse for when we see the likes of Rooney, Hart, Sterking etc vs West Ham

Not that I particularly care that England are out but these players were an absolute disgrace.
Said at the start that Rooney was behind the likes of Kane and Vardy as a striker .... and had been behind Rashford even at Man Utd. If Man Utd feel compelled to squeeze him in somehow out of position that's their problem.
For the national team to do it was ludicrous.

Amongst Hodgson's many problems was his complete inability to make any tough choices with big name and big club players.

Re: Roy Hodgson to face the media?
For all the fact I agree with the criticism of Hodgson, it does irritate me that most of the IRE is directed at the managers.

Take WAZZA for example. £300k a week. THREE HUNDRED THOUSAND POUNDS A WEEK.
On Monday night, he miscontrolled a pass to him from 5 fucking yards away. When he did manage to control it, he gave it away almost every time.

The flaws in Hodgson's methods are many and obvious, but they weren't the reason we lost to Iceland. The reason we lost was that the players put in the single worst performance I've ever seen from a collection of professional footballers in 30-odd years of watching football.

Re: Roy Hodgson to face the media?
Hodgson is a coward running from the media and awkward questions. The look on the face of his FA boss when he said a few words about not wanting to be there and then running from the press conference was priceless.

I hope no-one in the media is silly enough to have him as a pundit...

Re: Roy Hodgson to face the media?
Hodgson is an incompetant arrogant fool and the players are utter cunts no doubt but the biggest culprits since the late 50s are those selfless geniuses at the FA........

"FA chairman Greg Dyke threw his support behind current manager Roy Hodgson in the week, predicting England will do well in Euro 2016 and that the 68-year-old will get a new contract"

Re: Roy Hodgson to face the media?
Kylay, I think he went into the tournament shitting it an deep down knowing we were going to fail. A yes man for the FA in his tenure who kept the boat steady in between tournaments.

kylay...'

He did that because he is a massive,...opinionated...self obsessed...small minded...C U N T of a man...as well as a third rate football manager...

Based on what I've seen over the last 4 years...

Re: Roy Hodgson to face the media?
It bothered me at the time that Hodgson appeared and resigned his position within about 5 minutes of the final whistle, but the more I think about it, the more fucked up it seems.

Obviously a pre-prepared statement would have been truly appalling, but even if as the FA claim that it wasn't, does that make it any better? Obviously his biggest concern was himself and getting out the door? What signal does that send to the players? Perhaps not immediately after, but shouldn't he have attempted to debrief his players on what went wrong, what can be learned, whether anything was done right, what could have been done differently? Maybe it's different for professionals, but I cannot remember a manager pulling that immediately following a game. It just seems to go against everything the manager needs to be.

Re: Roy Hodgson to face the media?
Think it was Waddle who made the point about them all wearing those massive headphones. Doesn't exactly look like a good team spirit there does it when none of them seem to want to talk to each off the pitch.

Re: Roy Hodgson to face the media?
Well said Alf completely agree...

The old sod lost the plot after an easy qualification

Very poor preparation by not choosing a basic formation and a plan B...

Seems like he went into the Euros not knowing his best team and played around in the group games...

Very amateurish...the players were disorganized and looked like they didn't know the plan...

Plus all the stupidity of Kane set pieces...Sterling...Sturridge out of position...Wilshere...stupid subs in last game...only 4 minutes for Rashford etc etc

And he never explained his mistakes...never took real responsibility for the poor performances on the pitch...especially Iceland...putting the blame on the players all playing badly...The media let him off easy at the press conferences...

A complete fraud...second rate manager that really didn't deliver anything except qualifying in a very easy group... should have been sacked after WC 2014

He wrote his own "Epitaph"...I don't know what I'm doing here"...Sums up his 4 years...

Re: Roy Hodgson to face the media?
Should have picked and played players in form regardless of their clubs and not used the "loyalty" strategy of picking the same players that got him through qualification (a completely different set of pressures to a tournament). He took unfit players (e.g. Henderson. Wheelchair and Sturridge), out of form players based on last few weeks of the season too (Kane, Ali) and did not assemble a squad that could "mix it up" and employ different tactics and styles (e.g go direct when they had to).

On top of all this, there is no way that team was drilled in the art of defending and their roles.

Finally, the fatal mistake of playing people out of position to accommodate the "busted flush" that is Wayne Rooney the midfielder.

10 grand a day. Most people could do better than the senile, inward looking old goat Hodgson. I mean an Iceland dentist ripped him a new one.

Woy will now hopefully fade into the distance with his millions never to be seen again.

Re: Roy Hodgson to face the media?
Disgusting. The reward for abject failure. No idea how he's ended up playing for Man City.

Also read today that Sturridge likes to spray fragrance on his shirt before he plays because he wants to smell good....

Jesus wept.

Re: Roy Hodgson to face the media?
Hodgson Took 12 million on false pretences from the FA...

Should have been replaced after WC2014...

Instead he managed to get even worse performances at the Euros...

Never rated him from the start...Lacks the ability to MOTIVATE and Fire up a team...

When will they get competent management at the FA...
